The galaxy’s most-wanted alien escapes his faraway planet and crash-lands on the tropical paradise of Hawaii. He’s adopted by Lilo, a lonely little girl, who names her new “dog” Stitch. Their quirky friendship blossoms as Stitch wreaks havoc, makes us laugh, and learns the meaning of ohana, or family. This charming and offbeat Disney animation, which spawned the whole Lilo & Stitch franchise, is sure to entertain both grown-ups and kids alike.

"The movie doesn't get all soppy at the end and is surprisingly unsentimental for a Disney animated feature. It keeps its edge and its comic zest all the way through, and although it arrives relatively unheralded, it's a jewel."
