Jimi Hendrix: Electric Church presents the legendary guitarist in full flight at the 1970 Atlanta Pop Festival, in front of the largest American audience of his career. This critically acclaimed film presents 16mm multi-camera footage of Hendrix’s unforgettable performance in its original sequence together with new material that traces his journey to the festival amid the dark shadow of civil rights unrest, the unrelenting toll of the Vietnam War, and a growing festival culture. Interviews with Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, and others provide context.

Friday, May 30: Annual Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department’s Firefighter Parade begins tonight at 6:00. Please leave extra time to get to your film.
