I'm Chevy Chase and You're Not

Preview screening and Q&A with director Marina Zenovich

I’m Chevy Chase and You’re Not is the bold, wickedly funny, and deeply human portrait of one of Hollywood’s great enigmas: a performer with outsized gifts who could make a nation laugh—but who could not always outrun his own contradictions—whose films still circulate in the zeitgeist, quoted and rediscovered by new generations. Directed by two-time Emmy® Award-winner Marina Zenovich, the film charts Chevy Chase’s rise from breakout Saturday Night Live phenomenon to box-office royalty and his equally spectacular fall from grace.

Anchored by revealing interviews with collaborators and confidants–including Dan Aykroyd, Beverly D’Angelo, Goldie Hawn, Lorne Michaels, Ryan Reynolds, and Martin Short–as well as Chase and his family, Zenovich cuts through the legend to reveal the complicated man beneath the smirk. Featuring decades of rich archival footage, home movies, and intimate moments that capture Chase at his most unguarded, I’m Chevy Chase and You’re Not is a raw and riveting look at fame, fallout, and the fine line between genius and self-destruction.

One Night Only Preview Screening: I’m Chevy Chase and You’re Not premieres Thursday, January 1 at 8pm ET/PT on CNN. Available on demand through CNN streaming platforms starting January 2.
