Come See Me in the Good Light

Q&A with film subject and poet Megan Falley, director Ryan White, and producer Jessica Hargrave

Come See Me in the Good Light is a poignant and unexpectedly funny love story about poets Andrea Gibson and Megan Falley facing an incurable cancer diagnosis with joy, wit and an unshakable partnership. Through laughter and unwavering love, they transform pain into purpose, and mortality into a moving celebration of resilience.

Premieres on Apple TV November 14

SOLD OUT – Free Members-only Preview Screening and Q&A

"White’s film is a slick, heartfelt portrait of two artists and soulmates going through the worst life has to offer and feeling every moment of it as deeply as they possibly can."
Marya E. Gates, RogerEbert.com
"The film invites us to ask ourselves: What is poetry? How does it make meaning? Why does it offer solace like so few other art forms? All this ruminating takes place even as we are transfixed by Gibson and Falley."
Lisa Kennedy , Variety

  • Megan Falley is a spoken word poet, author, and teaching artist. She is the author of four books of poetry; her most recent collection, “Drive Here and Devastate Me” was heralded by Autostraddle as “a love letter to the queer community.” Her chapbook, “Bad Girls, Honey: Poems About Lana Del Rey" was the winner of the Tired Hearts Chapbook Prize. Falley is a National Poetry Slam and Women of the World Poetry Slam finalist.
  • Director Ryan White and producer Jessica Hargrave created Into the Fire, which chronicles the tortuous journey of a mother searching for her missing biological daughter. The film was produced by Charlize Theron and premiered on Netflix, where it reached #2 for all films on the streamer. Previously they worked on Netflix’s Emmy-nominated Pamela, A Love Story, an intimate portrait following the trajectory of Pamela Anderson’s life and career. White and Hargrave also directed and produced Amazon’s Good Night Oppy, a film about the surprising bond that formed between a robot and a team of scientists and engineers at NASA. Good Night Oppy won five Critics Choice Awards including Best Documentary and was recently nominated for seven Emmys. The two have directed, produced, and/or executive produced various films, short films, and tv series together including Coded: The Hidden Love of J.C. Leyendecker, AssassinsVisible: Out on Television (Apple TV), Ask Dr. Ruth (Hulu), The Keepers (Netflix), Good Ol' Freda (Magnolia Pictures), The Case Against 8 (HBO), Pelada (PBS, Cinetic) and more. White also directed Serena (Epix), a film about a year in the life of tennis legend Serena Williams. Hargraves is a mentor with #Startwith8Hollywood and Women in Film.
