Bring Her Back

In Bring Her Back, a bleak and claustrophobic nightmare from directors Danny and Michael Philippou (Talk to Me), a brother and sister uncover a terrifying ritual at the secluded home of their new foster mother, played to chilling effect by Sally Hawkins.

With the vicious, stomach-churning violence of “New French Extremity” staples like Martyrs and Trouble Every Day, Bring Her Back features a bracing performance from Hawkins—which reads like a twisted subversion of her beloved character in the Paddington films.

"One of the most distressing, anxiety-inducing horror films of recent memory."
Alistair Ryder, The Film Stage
"Hawkins adds a new edge to her already impressive repertoire with a performance that shifts between bone-chilling malevolence and moving desperation."
Carlos Aguilar, IGN Movies
