“A charming and profoundly affecting film that dives into the messy business of creation.” (Los Angeles Times)
Anna (Zoe Lister-Jones, Lola Versus, NBC’s New Girl) and Ben (Adam Pally, Hulu’s The Mindy Project, ABC’s Happy Endings) are in a troubled marriage. They fight constantly and are eventually advised by their therapist to work through their issues unconventionally. In a last-ditch effort to save their marriage, Anna comes up with a plan to turn all of their arguments into songs, and with the help of their neighbor Dave (Fred Armisen, IFC’s Portlandia), the three start a band. In her feature film debut, Lister-Jones takes on triple duty as writer/composer, director, and star. She brings along a stellar cast featuring a who’s who of young comedic talent. Charming, raw, and wholly original, Band Aid presents an insightful view of modern love and loss with some seriously catchy pop hooks to boot.
