A Private Life

Opens in January

Jodie Foster (The Silence of the Lambs) stars as a psychiatrist turned detective in a frisky feminine film noir by French writer/director Rebecca Zlotowski (Other People’s Children).

Renowned psychiatrist Lilian Steiner (Jodie Foster), an American expat living in France, finds herself deeply troubled by the sudden death of one of her longtime patients. Convinced that it was murder, she decides to investigate.

"This up-tempo comedic murder mystery is a breezy, fun means of showcasing delicious chemistry between legendary actors."
Zhuo-Ning Su, The Film Stage
"It’s a pleasure to watch Foster loosen up and have fun with a role, getting to exercise comedy chops too seldom tapped in her American projects of recent decades."
David Rooney, The Hollywood Reporter
