Next Gen (Ages 21–40)

Join us for our third free Next Gen Kickback on Thursday, Aug. 20, starting at 5:30 pm at Take 3 Wine Bar & Café. Afterward, we’ll head downstairs for a preview screening of Jane Schoenbrun’s new film Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma at 7:15 pm or a repertory screening of Teaches for Peaches.

At the Kickback, we’ll have free drinks and good company, plus a few nostalgic camp-inspired surprises. A quick heads up: this time around, we’re trading our usual food spread for some childhood favorite snacks. One more reason to come early: acclaimed musician and Queer activist Christina Picciano will be performing live in Take 3 starting at 5:30 pm.

Coming on your own? You will not be the only one. The Kickback is designed as an easy, informal way to meet other film fans before heading to a movie. Members of the Burns team will be there to welcome guests and help get the conversation started.

The Next Gen Kickback is completely free. Screenings are ticketed separately, and tickets can be purchased on our website. Please add the free Next Gen Kickback add-on at checkout so we have your RSVP.

Next Gen is our unique Burns community for movie lovers aged 21-40 to meet new people and discover great films—no membership required. Whether you come with friends or arrive solo, you are welcome.
