Environmental Sustainability Initiative

Thanks to a generous gift from an anonymous donor, we have launched the first phase of our Environmental Sustainability Initiative.

Phase One includes fully compostable supplies at the concession stand and Take 3 Wine Bar and Café. To facilitate responsible waste disposal, we’ve placed designated bins throughout the Theater. All organic items will be collected and processed to create nutrient-rich compost. This same waste disposal system is being used at the Media Arts Lab, which houses our education programs and administrative offices.

With the support of the JBFC community, we look forward to launching Phase Two, which will include converting to LED lights in all five theaters, solar panels at the Media Arts Lab, and enhancing our education programs with environmentally conscious films and activities for students of all ages.

Together, we will make a difference for our community, our planet, and future generations. Thank you!
