Work-in-Progress Screening

Hind Bensari’s current work-in-progress feature documentary highlights the plight of disabled athletes struggling for rights and recognition in Morocco. In the deprived neighborhoods of Azzedine, Morocco’s most important industrial port, a Seated Shots World Record holder and his trainee Youssef, a mentally disabled aspiring athlete, dedicate themselves to rigorous training in an effort to join in the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, with the hope that their participation will bring them respect at home.

Q&A filmmaker Hind Bensari with Greenhouse Series Programmer Karen Sloe Goodman. Moroccan journalist and self-taught filmmaker Hind Bensari joins us in March as an artist-in-residence. She will live and work on our campus as part of the JBFC Fellowship for International Understanding Through Film.

This event is free to the public. Free tickets available at the box office ONLY (in advance or on the day of the screening) while tickets last. Limit two tickets per person.
