A month before her wedding, 32-year-old Michal finds herself single once again after her fiance dumps her without warning. Devastated but undeterred, she decides to continue with her wedding plans—she books the venue, sends out invitations, and buys her dress—trusting that fate will provide a suitable groom in time for her original date. Michal enlists two matchmakers and goes on a series of disastrous dates, all while pressure from concerned friends and family members continues to mount. As time runs out and the day of the ceremony grows closer, Michal puts everything on the line to find happiness. Award-winning writer/director Rama Burshtein (Fill the Void) returns with this funny, thoughtful, and refreshingly nuanced romantic comedy told from within the cloistered Orthodox community she knows so intimately.
