Cozy (Lisa Bowman) is a lonely Florida housewife bored to tears with her drudging life—she’s in a crumbling marriage and ignores her kids while dreaming of having it better. In another life, she was a dancer or gymnast. Spending a quiet night alone at a bar, she meets and runs away with Lee (Larry Fessenden, You’re Next), a young loser in search of thrills—who also happens to have a gun in his possession. After accidentally shooting a man whose pool they’re swimming in, Cozy and Lee try to go on the lam as every outlaw couple before them—except they can’t exactly get the whole Bonnie and Clyde thing down. Recently restored by Oscilloscope Laboratories, through a successful Kickstarter campaign, the darkly funny debut feature from Kelly Reichardt (Old Joy, Wendy and Lucy, Meek’s Cutoff) is now back in theaters and available to a whole new audience.
