In what is both sequel and prequel to director Arnaud Desplechin’s 1996 My Sex Life… or How I Got Into an Argument, My Golden Days stars Mathieu Amalric (A Christmas Tale), reprising his role as the hopelessly romantic French academic Paul Dédalus. Playing out mostly in flashback with the exquisite Quentin Dolmaire (in his debut performance) as the young Dédalus, this is a beautifully constructed walk down memory lane that Variety calls a “marvelously vivid coming-of-age drama.”
