Love, Gilda

Westchester Exclusive

Love, Gilda opens a unique window into the whimsical world of beloved performer and comedian Gilda Radner, whose greatest role was sharing her story. Working with the Radner estate, filmmaker Lisa D’Apolito unearthed a collection of diaries, personal audio, and videotapes documenting Radner’s childhood, career, relationships, and ultimately, her struggles with cancer. Weaving together interviews with friends (Lorne Michaels, Laraine Newman, and Martin Short, among others) and journal entries read by modern-day comedians (Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, and Maya Rudolph), this never-before-seen-or-heard footage allows Gilda—through laughter and tears—to tell her own story.
