Please note that check-in begins at 8:30 pm. We strongly encourage you to arrive at that time to collect your credentials, register for the costume contest, grab a drink, and mentally prepare yourself for a terrifying (and fun!) night at the movies!
Get ready to stay up all night as we present our third annual Halloween Marathon! Hosted by JBFC Senior Programmer Andrew Jupin, this year’s marathon will feature eight films including: the new 4k restoration of Don Coscarelli’s Phantasm, the return of the We Hate Movies comedy podcast doing a live commentary over the ridiculous 1989 cult classic Death Spa, the over-the-top trip to Hell that is Jigoku, a very special preview of a much-buzzed about film hot off the festival circuit… And that’s just half the line-up! More titles will be revealed as we get closer to the marathon, so be sure to pay close attention to our social media!* There will be a costume contest and activities in the Jane Peck Gallery, and we’ll also have the concession stand open all night with plenty of coffee!
Enter the JBFC Costume Contest! Arrive in costume, and have your picture taken by our staff during check-in to enter the contest. Prizes will be awarded throughout the night for Most Movie-Like, Most Creative, and more! (Just make sure your costume isn’t bigger than your movie theater seat or else things might get a little tricky!)
Early Bird ticket prices available until Oct 12 at noon. Regular pricing is $40 (members/students), $50 (nonmembers).
Suggested for audience members 16+
*Recently announced films: A 30th anniversary restoration of Henry: Potrait of a Serial Killer, a restoration of John Carpenter’s Halloweeen, and Train to Busan.
