In Bugonia, director Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor Things) reunites his featured actors from Kinds of Kindness, Emma Stone (The Favourite, Eddington) and Jesse Plemons (The Power of the Dog, Civil War); casting them as the two opposing sides in a paranoia-fueled abduction scheme. Two conspiracy-obsessed young men (Plemons, and newcomer Aidan Delbis) kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company (Stone), convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth.

"Stone and Plemons prove ideal co-conspirators, with carefully balanced performances that have them taking turns as hero and villain without ever quite annihilating our sympathies or winning them outright."
"Bugonia will make you laugh, squirm, and gasp in equal measures, but the film always feels in control of which of these emotions it wants you to feel at any particular moment. Lanthimos is a master of creating atmosphere, and Bugonia really feels like he’s at the top of his game."
