Art & Mind

A journey into haunting, haunted places, which will fascinate and captivate.” (Raw Vision Magazine)

Art & Mind takes viewers on a mind-bending journey into surreal visions of ecstasy, fear, and madness by masters from Hieronymus Bosch, Goya, Van Gogh, and Dali, to outsider artists William Kurelek and Henry Darger. Offering a range of perspectives by artists, curators, art historians, psychologists, and neuroscientists, the film examines historical ideas about the source of madness and modern notions of how psychic disturbances might help unlock the creative unconscious. It also investigates the line between madness and artistic vision, looking at over 350 works of art from museums around the world.
