Small Screen on the Big Screen: The Americans

Q&A writer/producer Stephen Schiff with JBFC Board President Janet Maslin

Special screening of The Americans penultimate episode!

The critically acclaimed television show, now in its 6th and final season on FX, is “still the best-kept secret on TV.” (Vox) It’s “thrilling…the emotional danger makes it irresistible” (New York Times). Recipient of a Critics Choice Award and a Peabody Award (among many others), The Americans is “an empirically letter-perfect prestige drama” (Salon) about two KGB spies (Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys) posing as a married American couple living in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. Join us for a rare in-theater screening of the series’ penultimate episode, followed by a conversation between Janet Maslin and Stephen Schiff, who, in addition to being one of the show’s executive producers, has written some of its most memorable episodes.
