20th Anniversary Screening!
The only thing cubicle drone Peter (Ron Livingston, Tully, Drinking Buddies) hates more than his job at tech startup Initech is his smarmy boss, Bill Lumbergh (Gary Cole, HBO’s Veep). Frustrated with his lot in life, especially his go-nowhere job, Peter submits to hypnotherapy as a possible solution, only to have the therapist die during the session. Left in a constant state of peaceful euphoria and with a newfound apathy to almost everything around him, Peter manages to not only impress The Bobs, a duo of downsizing consultants sent in to evaluate every employee on staff, but get himself promoted by doing absolutely nothing. When his two close friends and co-workers, Michael (David Herman, Fox’s Bob’s Burgers) and Samir (Ajay Naidu, Bad Santa) are getting fired, the trio devise a plan to skim fractions of a cent from each transaction their company makes. When a coding error causes the gang to accidentally steal $300,000 overnight, Peter must decide whether or not to come clean about the scam.
A cult sensation that has spent the last two decades permeating the pop culture landscape, Mike Judge’s (Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, Idiocracy) workplace comedy classic continues to provide much needed catharsis for anyone and everyone who has ever been frustrated at their day job.
With hysterical supporting turns from John C. McGinley, Paul Willson, Richard Riehle, Diedrich Bader, and Jennifer Aniston.
