Actor, playwright, and author Jesse Eisenberg will join Janet Maslin to discuss his new collection of short stories, Bream Gives Me Hiccups which Sherman Alexie describes as “[b]rilliantly witty, deeply intelligent, and just plain hilarious.” Prior to the conversation, we will screen The Double, a black comedy from Richard Ayoade (Submarine) that features Jesse Eisenberg starring against…well, Jesse Eisenberg. In The Double, Eisenberg plays Simon, a timid, isolated man who’s overlooked at work, scorned by his mother, and ignored by the woman of his dreams. The arrival of a new confident and charismatic co-worker, James (Eisenberg), serves to upset the balance.
