While their families are caught in a bitter rivalry, the young Romeo and Juliet fall madly in love. Alexei Ratmansky, former artistic director of the Bolshoi Ballet and one of the world’s most sought-after choreographers, brings the story of Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers to the stage with dramatic urgency. Set to Sergei Prokofiev’s cinematic score, it’s a fresh and modern reinvention, filled with surprises, and—of course—bravura dancing.
