Taste of the Lab: Understanding Story

In this three-week overview, we’ll explore the building blocks of a well-crafted screen story. A good screenplay covers all aspects of the craft, including cinematography, production design, costume, and performance.

  • The primary focus is on plot structure as it applies to both short films and features.
  • Students will read script excerpts, screen short films, and discuss full-length films (to be viewed outside of class).
  • No experience necessary.
  • Taught by JBFC faculty member Rob Morton
