2020 Image Sound and Story Teacher Institute

Image, Sound, and Story is a groundbreaking curriculum that integrates critically viewing short films and creating media projects into classroom culture and literacy instruction. Teachers of grades 3-12 are invited to join us for the Image, Sound, and Story Teacher Institute. This summer professional development program prepares teachers to lead instruction for the first three projects of the curriculum: “Image,” “Sound,” and “Story.”

The Image, Sound, and Story Teacher Institute features special guests and screenings, and will inspire educators to bring new literacy strategies to their classroom. Teachers will receive continued support for successful, customized implementation throughout the school year.

Fees and Financial Support

$500/teacher, $450 per teacher for teams of 4 or more.

We are eager to provide financial assistance to enable your participation and we actively raise funds from individuals, foundations, and corporations to offset participation fees. We encourage you to seek support through your school, school district, district foundation, or other special arrangement as well. If those options are not viable, please complete an application for financial support.

Documentation of participation will be provided for teachers seeking in-service or salary credit.
