Jenny (up-and-coming French actress Adèle Haenel, Water Lilies, Les Combattants) is a talented young doctor working at a small clinic. One evening after work hours, a mysterious young woman buzzes the door and Jenny refuses to answer. The next morning Jenny learns that the woman was found dead by the side of the road and the police have no way of identifying her. In an effort to assuage her own guilt, Jenny embarks on an obsessive crusade to discover the woman’s identity so that she will not be buried anonymously. The newest film from acclaimed directors the Dardenne Brothers (Two Days, One Night), The Unknown Girl is both a gripping mystery and a profoundly human moral tale.
