The Lost Daughter

Two weeks only!

A college professor’s (Olivia Colman, The Favourite, The Father) quiet seaside vacation in Greece takes an unsettling turn when her fixation on a young mother (Dakota Johnson, Suspiria, A Bigger Splash) staying at a nearby villa awakens memories from her past. Maggie Gyllenhaal makes her directorial debut with this emotionally layered drama adapted from Elena Ferrante’s novel. Also featuring Jessie Buckley, Ed Harris, and Peter Sarsgaard, The Lost Daughter is a powerfully empathetic look at motherhood and the complexities of human nature.

"Gyllenhaal has forged a powerful new myth. She and her whole team are legends."
Charlotte O'Sullivan, London Evening Standard
"Buckley is terrific, her performance meshing so perfectly with Colman's that it's easy to see the older woman within the younger one, and vice-versa"
Stephanie Zacharek, TIME Magazine
"An ambitious and taboo-tackling first feature with an atmosphere that lingers thanks to gutsy performances from Colman and Buckley"
Sophie Monks Kaufman, Little White Lies
