Sheriff John Wayne desperately needs help to prevent a well-connected thug from getting out of jail, but he’s got only a drunken former lawman (Dean Martin), a cantankerous deputy with a bad leg (Walter Brennan), and a callow young gunman (Ricky Martin) to turn to.
