Missing People

“A tangled tale of mortality, obsession, creativity and acquisition” (Variety)

In the quest for answers in her brother’s long-unsolved murder, a New York collector obsessively tracks down the paintings of outsider artist Roy Ferdinand, seeing in his depictions of New Orleans neighbors who bear up in a violent world of crime and drugs, important works that may in some way illuminate her own family history.

Preceded by The Original Richard McMahan

Outsider artist Richard McMahan painstakingly re-creates thousands of paintings and artifacts in miniature, from masterpieces by Picasso and Frida Kahlo to intricate Maori canoes, working mostly on a kitchen counter using recycled materials.
