If These Walls Could Sing

Q&A with director Mary McCartney, moderated by Scott Freiman

Join us for a special preview screening!

If These Walls Could Sing sees Abbey Road Studios open up its doors for the first time, as director Mary McCartney guides audiences through her home away from home, weaving together personal stories along with archival imagery and recordings into an intimate and emotional history of the most famous studio in the world. Through exclusive interviews with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Elton John, Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher, John Williams, Celeste and Kate Bush, among others, audiences will get a front-row seat to nine decades of memories that tell the stories of some of the studio’s most iconic recordings and the people who made them happen.

Mary McCartney is world-renowned photographer, documentary filmmaker, cookbook author, and Global Ambassador for Meat Free Monday.  Her photographic work has focused on discovering rare moments of unguarded, emotionally charged intimacy that offer a new insight to the subject.

The documentary If These Walls Could Sing is McCartney’s debut as a director, and the film, which has been nominated for a Critic’s Choice Award, is a Ventureland, Disney and Mercury Music production. It spans the 90 years of the world famous Abbey Road Studios and gives a personal insight to the world famous recording studio.

McCartney’s Emmy nominated cooking show, has three seasons on Food Network’s streaming platform Discovery+, and is their first commissioned plant based show.

Danielle Solzman, Solzy at the Movies
"Often charming and never less than affectionate, but it’s also slight, a pleasing but scattershot love letter to a building, a crosswalk and an era"
Steve Pond, The Wrap
