Jennifer Aniston stars as Olivia, a single woman working as a maid in order to make ends meet. She’s surrounded by her married friends Christine (frequent Holofcener collaborator Catherine Keener), a successful TV writer; Franny (Joan Cusack), a stay-at-home mom with a massive trust fund; and Jane (Frances McDormand), an admired fashion designer. While the disparity in their financial situations creates some tension, each woman faces her own troubles with dissatisfying relationships and discontent in wealth.
