Q&A Executive Chef and Restauranteur Mogan Anthony of Pleasantville’s Pub Street and Village Social Restaurants in Westchester
Chef Mogan Anthony’s talent and passion for food can be traced back to his roots. Born and raised in Malaysia and having grown up in a Southern Indian family, he was mesmerized by the flavors and uses of the indigenous herbs and spices of his ancestors. After training in Singapore, he came to America where he learned alongside some of the best chefs in the industry – Chef Nobu, Chefs Brian Lewis and Jeremy McMillan at the Bedford Post, and Jean-Georges and his son Cedric Vongerichten, as well as traditional Japanese techniques from Michelin three-star chef Masa Takayama at Masa in Manhattan. Chef Mogan joined the Village Social family in 2011, and serves as Executive Chef for the Village Social restaurant group and the newly opened Pub Street in Pleasantville. His culinary range spans the globe as he masterfully infuses his talent, culture, and experiences to execute award winning dishes which highlight fresh ingredients and innovative cuisine.’
