Between Worlds

“An intriguing film about an unexpected friendship…an eloquent appeal for tolerance.” (Thinking Cinema)

Bina and Meir, a religious couple from Jerusalem, come to the hospital when they hear that their 25-year-old son, Oliel, was severely injured in a terror attack. They have had no contact with him since he became secular, years ago. After a young Arab woman—who also has claims to Oliel—arrives, the truth of all their relationships unfolds, and the characters struggle to accept the unlikely circumstances that have brought them together. Miya Hatav’s intimate family drama skillfully explores universal questions about faith, truth, and understanding.
