State-of-the-Art Facility

The Media and Education Center, a 27,000 square foot building located at 405 Manville Road in Pleasantville, NY, is scheduled to open in September, 2008.  This state-of-the-art facility will allow us to significantly expand our programs for children of all ages and adults. It will also allow us to fulfill our passionate commitment to replicating our programs on an even broader national and international scale.  

The Media and Education Center will feature:

• 15 Editing Suites (12 open and 3 enclosed)
• Recording Studio with Isolation Booth and Foley Room
• 2 Soundstages (primary space is 1,000 square feet and both feature full lighting grids)
• Animation Suite
• Master Classroom (60 person capacity, featuring 35mm and HD projection)
• 4 Workshop Spaces
• Professional filmmaking equipment for student use
• Executive offices on the top floor

The JBFC's new Media and Education Center will offer unprecedented access to workshops, one-on-one meetings, master classes, peer critiques, industry film experts-in-residence, and constant opportunities for feedback.
